Camry confessional unleashed

This post was inspired Mama Kat’s weekly Vlogging prompt 2.) Car Confessional…confess something from your car. (inspired by joeyradiogirl)

 spilling the beans

Just so you know, I am terrible at keeping secrets and/or holding back emotions. If something is happening, I want to post it on this blog, Twitter, Facebook, text, or just yell about it in the shower. The more restraint exercised, the more withdrawn I become until I am overstuffed like a cannoli.

With this in mind, choosing to do a car confessional for this week’s vlog should be effortless. How difficult can it be if I spill the beans on a regular basis? What starts as an easy post, becomes more heartfelt as it moves along.

welcome to the world of the recently unemployed

Now that the cat is out of the bag, YES! I am currently unemployed. It really isn’t so bad. I’m using the time for some personal growth, self-development, healing, get back to ME time. Everyday, I go to the gym or do some form of exercise. It is one of the only things I can control and it helps my mood immensely.

There is good and bad in this situation. Good times include:spending time with friends, family, alone, at the gym, taking Burlesque dance lessons (for real!) or whatever else strikes my fancy. The not so great part is that it also is a time for me to focus on my fear of rejection and self-abandonment.

what is your car confession?

The best part of the Camry confessional is the weight lifted off my shoulders. I am strong and vibrant yet flawed and vulnerable. By announcing my fear, I was able to loosen its grip.

What would you confess in your car? Would it be something deliciously wicked? Perhaps, like me, it turns into something heartfelt and deep. Share your thoughts and stories on a car confessional.

I’m sorry about your lay-off. My husband was laid off in late 2010, and it took 9 months for him to find something else in this wretched economy (that pays half what he made before). Hang in there.

And as for your choice between nails and someone to clean house? Meh, the house won’t suffer much. But a girl’s gotta be pretty 🙂

Oh, and I, too, have a fear of rejection. I won’t even ask someone to be my friend on Facebook, because I’m afraid they won’t accept. How pitiful is that?

Thanks Dyanne for your support. No one knows if the house is a little messy but you’re right, a gal has to be pretty.

BTW, I would be happy to be your friend on FB 😀

Well, it would sure be easier if I knew your last name!! might be easier to find me. I’m the only Miriam Gomberg anywhere.

Good for you for confessing! And for taking some time to take care of you! I miss having someone else clean my house, too. That’s my entire reason for writing. Soon…

Thanks Tamara. It is amazing how much better I felt after confessing on camera. I definitely need to find a way to get the cleaning help back! Domestic life is not for me. Blech.

I think it is great that you are taking your time and enjoying yourself. You only get to live once so make the best of it and when your ready I am sure you will find the perfect job for you.

It probably is easier because there is no eye contact with anyone and if you don’t like how you sound/look, you can always edit or delete. It feels good to let it go and confess this stuff to the world. M

It’s fun to see how you brighten as the vlog goes on and you confess things!

psst – I’m not a domestic goddess. I just clean because I have too. LOL

Best wishes as you figure out what you are going to do.

    1. miriamgomberg says:

Thanks Jendi. Confessing my troubles sure made me feel better. Maybe it should become a regular thing. I sometimes feel guilty because I hate cleaning so much. The more I clean, the more bitter I become. It’s a vicious cycle.
